Live Life.

I understand that today isn't Poem of the Week, but I just wanted to post this poem because I thought it would be interesting for you guys to read. It doesn't exactly seem like a poem but remember, not all poems rhyme.

Live Life.

Life is crazy,
and totally unpredictable...
It's going to push you over,
kick you while you're down
and hit you when you try to get back up.
Not everything can beat you.
Things are going to change you,
But you get to choose which ones you let change you.
Listen to your heart,
Follow your dreams,
And let no one tell you what you're capable of.
Push the limits,
Bend the rules,
And enjoy every minute of it.
Laugh at everything,
Live for as long as you can.
Love all,
PhotobucketBut trust none.
Believe in yourself,
And never lose faith in others
Settle for nothing but only the best,
And give 110% in everything you do.
Take risks,
Live on the edge,
Yet stay safe,
And cherish every moment of it.
Life is a gift,
Appreciate all the rewards,
And jump on every opportunity.
Not everyone's going to love you
But who needs them anyways.
Challenge everything,
And fight for what you believe.
Back down to nothing,
But give in to the little things in life,
After all, that is what makes you.
Forget the unnecessary,
But remember everything,
Bring it with you everywhere you go.
Learn something new,
And appreciate criticism.
Hate nothing,
But dislike what you want.
Never forget where you came from,
And always remember where you are going.
Live Life to its fullest,
And have a reason for everything,
Even if it's totally insane.
Find Your purpose in life,
and Live it!

The Creative World of Origami

Have any of you heard of origami? It is a neat and crafty thing, if you ask me. Origami is the art of folding paper to form shapes. As it is said in the textbooks, paper was first made in China. Origami got its name from the Japanese language. "Ori" means folding and "kami" means paper. Therefore, they named this origami. Where does origami originate from? Most people would say China but others debate against it. Some people believe that Japan actually came up with it. If you would like to know more about this, click here.
There are many shapes that you can make with origami. Did you know that the fortune teller is a part of origami? I've only made a crane, heart, fortune teller, and frog. If you would like to see a few examples of what you can make with origami, look below. ( Click the pictures to view the instructions on how to make it )

High School Football

On Saturday, we played our last game for the season. We lost the game but I think that we played an okay game. If the ball would have got in the air and caught by the right person, we would have been in good shape. I think the other team was just a little bit faster than us. They had a boy that could run the ball pretty good. He was just a pretty powerful kid. I wish we could of won but we did our best. It was a tough team to beat because they came mad and ready to play. I did think it was nice to see a lot of people have team spirit. Have you ever played a tough team like we did? Let me know if you have. Also, maybe you were on the team we played. Let me know.

Animal of the Week #5: Leopards

Leopards are one of the largest secretive carnivores. Leopards pretty much eat just about anything they would like to. They prey on fish, reptiles, birds, hares, and monkeys. They really like their meat. (: They live in sub-Saharan Africa, northeast Africa, Central Asia, India, and China. Many leopards are endangered especially outside of Africa. Leopards have many talents; they are the strongest climber and swimmer in the cat family. Leopards are nocturnal, hunting by night while spending most the day resting, usually draped on tree limbs or lying in thick undergrowth. Female leopards can give birth at any time of the year. When the cub is born, the mother usually keeps them around her until the cub is about 22 months. Females are capable at breeding when they are just 2 years old! That is crazy stuff right there! Leopard babies weigh around 500g at birth and their eyes open after a week. They are also very adorable, well at least I think so. (: Would you like to learn more about leopards? If you would like to click here for a site that has everything about leopards! Enjoy. (:

Here is a 3 mintue video on Leopards from the National Geographic:

Quote of the Week #5

"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you will never walk alone. People even more then things have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed. Never throw out anyone." -Audrey Hepburn

- Personality can make a less attractive person beautiful. These quotes is mainly saying that if you speak words of kindess or seek out the good in people, soon people will see the good in you and think you are absolutely beautiful. Also, people have feelings & you should never throw a person out of a group or leave them out. Everyone should be treated equally, and not be judgmental against them because they might be different. You are no better than them, so stop acting like it.
