Have any of you heard of origami? It is a neat and crafty thing, if you ask me. Origami is the art of folding paper to form shapes. As it is said in the textbooks, paper was first made in China. Origami got its name from the Japanese language. "Ori" means folding and "kami" means paper. Therefore, they named this origami. Where does origami originate from? Most people would say China but others debate against it. Some people believe that Japan actually came up with it. If you would like to know more about this, click here.
There are many shapes that you can make with origami. Did you know that the fortune teller is a part of origami? I've only made a crane, heart, fortune teller, and frog.
